We work in partnership with the City School District of Albany to deliver the Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MWBE)-Workforce Development Program. The Construction Initiative is dedicated to educating the community about career and business opportunities in the construction and design industry. In partnership with the City School District of Albany, we deliver the MWBE-Workforce Development program, which focuses on three key areas:
• Community Engagement: Keeping the community engaged and informed about the Albany High School renovation project.
• Workforce Development: Connecting interested career candidates to trade unions, with an emphasis on people of color and women, to explore career opportunities.
• Business Development: Increasing the number of Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), that have subcontracts to work on Albany High School project site.
