ARE YOU READY TO DANCE?
Our 4th biennial Dancing with the Community Stars Dance-A-Thon fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 13th, at Hudson Valley Community College. We invite you to join us and help make this year’s event the most successful yet! The proceeds from this event will support the career education and coaching services we provide for under/unemployed rising young professionals and entrepreneurs navigating the transition into the business world.
The Dance-A-Thon will be an 8-hour fundraiser that is a part of the Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) mission to mobilize millions of young people and adults from across the world to invest in their communities through service.
Family-friendly activities will be available throughout the day.
Some of the proceeds will also be invested in our 2019 Charity of Choice:
- Hudson Valley Community College Educational Opportunity Emergency Fund. Some of the proceeds from this event will be invested in this fund to helps students in need of financial assistance to pay for books, tuition and other needs that will them succeed while in college.
- Hudson Valley Community College Black and Latino Student Union. Some of the proceeds from this event will be donated to this student group to help them further their mission to promote the awareness of Black and Latino history and culture.
- Student Food Pantry. We invite you to bring one or more nonperishable items to the event on April 13th. The pantry provides food assistance and decreases food insecurity.

How To Get Involved With This Event
Register to attend.
We will dance for 8 hours with 7 minutes breaks every hour. Individual Registration: $25 per person. Children 12 and under: $10. Group Registration: $80 for a group of 4 dancers. Individual student: $15. Student group of 4: $40.
Not a dancer, that’s ok. Come anyway!

Register to be a vendor at the event. We are seeking college and universities, non profit organizations that offer leadership development and career readiness and college access programs and businesses that sell affordable products.
