Welcome to our volunteer page. We are grateful that you took the time to look for an opportunity that will suit your passion and skill level while helping us build our capacity while doing what we love — bring people together to motivate and inspire one another!

Subject Matter Experts

We are in search of subject matter experts who are passionate about what they do and want to extend their expertise to the team, students, partners and supporters.

General Volunteers

We are in search of folks who are passionate about showing up to an event or program the day of to help with execution; essentially these are one day opportunities for individuals and groups.

Volunteers are one of the threads to sustaining Mission Accomplished Transition Services. Our volunteers are dedicated to empowering rising young professionals and entrepreneurs to pursue their career goals unapologetically and help buuld the capacity of our team. As a volunteer you may work directly with our students  to help them achieve their goals or with the team to help us execute important tasks and activities.

We are seeking volunteers who have expertise in:

Event Support: Fundraisers

Registration, set-up, clean up, etc.

Event Support: Special Program Events

Photography

We invite established and rising photographers seeking to help us tell our story while building your portfolio. We are in search of photographers who are willing to do photoshoots that will include students, team and community members, capture moments at events and during our programs.

Time Commitment: Depends on the event.

Videography

We invite established and rising videographers seeking to help us tell our story while building your portfolio. We are in search of videographers who are willing to create 30 second to 5 minute videos that will include students, team and community members, capture moments at events and during our programs.

Time Commitment: Depends on the event.

Event Management

We are in search of experienced event planners to assist us with planning, designing and executing special events, from fundraisers to career development experiences. We are all about creating memorable experiences. Memorable events take a lot of time and tactful coordination, if you are a lover of event management we’d welcome you to the volunteer team.

Time Commitment: Depends on the event.

Fundraising

If you are passionate about helping under/unemployed young professionals and entrepreneurs navigate the overwhelming but exciting transition from school to career, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As we work together from the ground up to help them succeed, one of the most effective ways to get involved is to host a private fundraising party. You will help us grow their/our network and raise funds to sustain the career education programs we provide. Furthermore, you will expose, educate and energize your family and friends about our mission and the students that participate in our programs and make a positive social impact in our communities.

Time Commitment: 20-60 hours, depends on the type of event you choose to host. The time to manage and set up a online event may differ from an in-person event.

Volunteer Coordination

We are in search of a volunteer to help us to recruit, coordinate and sustain our volunteer program. We have lots of wonderful volunteers who invest their time in us and we would like to have a point person to help them manage their relationship with us.

Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week.

Industry Presenters

We invite fashion, construction, interior design/decorating and mural painting industry professionals to serve as presenters through our teen and advanced careers or small businesses development institutes, workshops and intensives.

This role requires individuals who has 5+ years experience successfully developing and facilitating interactive group sessions.

Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per month.

Copy Editing

We are seeking to share more career development resources – from career tips to templates to how to documents – with members of the public. We want to be sure our grammar is on point while making meaningful statements.

Time Commitment: 5-20 hours per week, depends on the project.

Video Editing

We use our phones frequently to record events, do live videos or record messages to share on social media. However, we do not have an internal editor, therefore, it can be weeks before we share content or we share really raw content when we’d like some professional editing.

Time Commitment: 5-20 hours per week, depends on the project.

Catering

Donate services and food to provide delicious cultural and American food options at fundraisers and special program events.

Industry Mentors

We invite fashion, construction, interior design/decorating and mural painting industry professionals to provide mentorship to student participating in Mission Accomplished Transition Services career and small business development programs.
