When Fredda Peritz passed, we lost an extraordinary member of our Mission Accomplished family. Fredda was more than a mentor, friend, and advocate for our programs – she was a vocal and unapologetic force for change, deeply committed to empowering young people to overcome systemic barriers and create brighter futures.
Fredda’s passion for our mission was unwavering. She showed up for the youth in our programs, believing they are the ones who will reshape the areas of institutional and systemic inadequacies, economic barriers to opportunity, and oppression. Fredda showed up for the youth and young adults in our programs. She was at every event she could attend and advocated for resources from the City School District of Albany to support high school students preparing for the workforce and her impact will be felt for generations to come.
To honor her legacy, we are proud to announce the creation of the Friend Like Fredda Fund in partnership with her daughter, Tania Fox-Peritz, to keep Fredda’s name, spirit, and commitment to young people alive.

HOW DOES MY DONATION ALIGN WITH FREDDA’S LEGACY? Your donation is extension of Fredda’s unwavering and unapologetic fight to Stand Against Racism and break down systemic, oppressive barriers in the transition to well paying jobs for Black and Brown youth and young adults.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE SUPPORTED BY FUND? The Friend Like Fredda Fund supports costs for group and one-on-one career and business education, mentorship and coaching. Through our programs we help teens prepare for the transition from high school to the workforce as interns with our organization and support emerging entrepreneurs with refining their brand as social impact professionals and package their expertise into educational programs such as retreats, workshops and talks at conferences.
Through our programs student interns and entrepreneurs gain access to information that helps them further develop key foundational professional skills, make employer and business connections that lead to young professionals secure jobs and business opportunities faster.
